Drew Lawhorn

Originally from Salem, VA, Drew Lawhorn, 26, started playing the drums and performing professionally at age 13. He started out playing snare drum in the high school marching band where he then later focused on jazz and music theory. At age 16, he became a drum instructor and taught private lessons to students. Straight out of high school at the age of 17, Drew was hired on by several high schools as a drumline instructor where he wrote, arranged and taught percussion.

Drew’s musicality was developed through influences across the entire musical spectrum, from Jazz and Funk to Country and Rock and Roll. His style draws from main influences such as Carter Beauford, JJ Johnson, Steve Ferrone, and Buddy Rich.

Joe Overton

Joe Overton

Originally from Smithville, TN, Joe Overton, 29, has been traveling and playing music across the U. S. and Europe since 2007. Joe is a multi-instrumentalist (guitar, fiddle, banjo, pedal steel), singer, and songwriter, and he has spent years studying and teaching Old-Time fiddle and banjo music.  Before moving back to his home state to join The Party Line, he was living in Charlottesville, VA, fronting the Honky Tonk band, The Clear Blue Sky.

Brian Duncan Miller

Brian Duncan Miller

Born in Bitburg, Germany and raised in various US states with several consecutive years in Ohio.  This half-Swiss / half-Ginger artist started his musical journey in an orchestral setting.  At an early age he comprised himself with the instrumentation of French Horn, Double French Horn, and Trumpet.  By fifteen he acquired the Bass Guitar and for nearly two decades has been performing accompaniment on and off the road for assorted artist in the various styles of Rock, Indie, Funk, R&B, Hip Hop, Metal, and Country.  Influences include James Jamerson, Bob Babbitt, Donald “Duck” Dunn, Jaco Pastorius, Victor Wooten, Lee Rocker, and Flea.

Josh Vana

Josh Vana

Born in Richmond, Virginia and raised in Carroll County, Maryland, Joshua Vana became a full-time member of the Party Line in 2014. Now 26, the multi-instrumentalist (electric and acoustic guitars, harmonica) grew up on his parents’ LPs and picked up an electric guitar at age eleven.

During his eight years in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, he fronted and played in several local bands, performed as a singer and songwriter, and has been a part owner of the Little Grill Collective, a worker-owned restaurant in Harrisonburg. During that time, he was a member of the Charlottesville-based honky tonk outfit The Clear Blue Sky with fellow Party Line band mate Joe Overton. He currently calls Keezletown, Virginia home, sweet home.
